Frequently Asked Questions – Rabbi for Weddings

We need a rabbi for a wedding. How do we contact you?

Please use the contact form here.

What are the stipulations for a wedding you will perform?

I do not officiate at interfaith weddings. That means that both partners must be Jewish, either by birth or through a traditional conversion.

Do you officiate at weddings on Shabbat?

I do not officiate at weddings on Shabbat, which means no Saturday afternoon weddings, Friday night weddings, or Saturday evening weddings before sundown. There are many other convenient times for Jewish weddings to take place.

Do you perform same sex weddings or commitment ceremonies?

If both partners are Jewish, I will officiate at a same sex commitment ceremony.

How much do you charge for a wedding?

Once we discuss the logistics of your wedding, including my availability on the date you have selected, we will discuss the suggested honorarium for my services.

Will you travel to perform our wedding?

Yes, I officiate at destination weddings and wedding ceremonies that are out-of-town. As long as my schedule allows for it, I am willing to travel to your wedding destination.
